Running River Home Health Services is Hiring a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) Near San Diego, CA

Running River Home Health Services is a Home Health Agency looking for communicative, competent, and compassionate CHHAs to join our team and make patient visits on a per diem basis. Our Aides dictate their workload and schedule and are paid by the visit.

Looking for a change of scenery?

Home Health Aides visit patients in the comfort of their homes. This allows them the opportunity to see patients when they're most at ease. This also gives Aides a break from the buzz of clinical settings.

Looking for extra income?

Home Health Aides get paid for each patient visit they make. They may make as many or as few visits as they'd like. There's no quota to meet or set hours. Home Health Aides make their own schedules. In addition, mileage driven to and from patients' homes is reimbursed.

Responsibilities

- Pretty much what you already do in a clinical setting, just in patients' homes instead. This includes, but is not limited to: Providing routine, personal healthcare, such as bathing, dressing, or grooming, to elderly, convalescent, or disabled persons in the home of patients.

Requirements

- Must be Licensed in the State of California as a Certified Home Health Aide. No surprises here.

- Must have worked in an acute clinical setting for at least one year.

-Must have at least some Health Health or Hospice experience.

- Patients apparently don't like to be visited in the middle of the night, so no midnight shifts. This means we require Aides who are available mornings, afternoons, or early evenings at least twice per week.

What We Look For

- Our Aides are both the hearts and the faces of this company. Because of this, we look for Aides who will make good impressions on our patients.

- Because our Aides don't report to an office, our best method of communication is via cell phone. I know you all have one and know how to use one, but do you answer? Although we won't check on you twice a day like your mom in college, we'd still appreciate timely responses and fluid communication.

- Did we mention you’re not supervised? On the one hand, this means you don’t have a grumpy Supervisor lurking in every corner. On the other hand, this means you hold more personal responsibility and accountability.

- Although our note taking software is easy to use (Veertualtech), it's still software. We don't expect you to be Mr. Robot, but if you frequently call your 12 year old relative because you keep forgetting your password, there's going to be a problem. We prefer Aides who are comfortable with technology.

Location:

Although our office is in Cerritos, the patients don't live here. It'd be a tight fit. Instead, you'll find them scattered all over the surrounding area. As of now, many of our patients reside around San Diego, CA. If this is a bit out of the way for you, remember, mileage is reimbursed.
