Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and organized Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation of goods and ensuring efficient delivery. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will contribute to the smooth operation of our supply chain.

Responsibilities:

- Receive and process customer orders for transportation services

- Coordinate with drivers and carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries

- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor progress

- Dispatch drivers and provide them with necessary information, including routes, schedules, and special instructions

- Monitor driver performance, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations

- Communicate with customers regarding delivery updates, delays, or issues

- Resolve any transportation-related problems or conflicts that may arise

- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver logs, fuel usage, and maintenance reports

Requirements:

- Previous experience in dispatching or fleet management preferred

- Familiarity with supply chain operations and freight logistics

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Proficient in using GPS and GIS technology for route planning

- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills

• Familiar with DAT / Internet Truck Stop

• Problem resolution and analytical ability

• Would prefer someone with Class A / CDL to fill in as a driver if needed

• Must posses an excellent safety attitude

• Must be a conscientious worker, self-motivated and detailed oriented
