**Job Summary:**

The Production Manager directs and manages all plant production responsibilities such as safety, throughput, quality, cost control, production hiring and training while also driving continuous improvement and optimization of production operation processes.

**What Youll Do:**

* Oversee activities of rug production including rug cutting, sewing, quality inspection, packaging, and fulfillment

* Establish operational procedures (SOPs) for all production operations for continuous process improvement

* Hire, train, and schedule production operators, shift leads and shift supervisors

* Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of production activities with other functions such as warehouse, printing operations, replenishment

* Manage labor hours for cost per rug and prepare work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment

* Participate in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities while driving and improving plant safety culture

* Allocate resources effectively, fully utilize assets to produce optimal results, and trigger corrective actions when necessary

* Prepare monthly reports by developing, collecting and analyzing production data to reduce inefficiencies and increase throughput without reducing quality

**What Youll Need to Have:**

**Required:**

* 2 years of experience in manufacturing field and supervisory experience required

* 2 years working in a textile or similar manufacturing environment and production management as shift supervisor preferred

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (any field), Business (MBA) preferred

* Six Sigma Green Belt preferred

* Bilingual in English and Spanish

**Preferred:**

* Proven work experience as a leader of large teams, managerial experience a must

* Production Manager competencies - staffing, training, data analysis, resource allocation, and sense of urgency

* Proven track record of developing talent and fostering an inclusive culture

* Must work well under pressure in a very fast paced environment and ability to work independently with moderate direction

* Strong interpersonal skills, addressing complaints/resolving problems, rewarding/disciplining employees, and appraising performance

* Ability to create and work in collaborative group environments

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, G Suite
