RNL is adding a SQL Server DBA (Data Base Analyst). The SQL Server DBA (Data Base Analyst) is responsible for supporting mission critical applications used by external clients, including complex hosted solutions for colleges and universities built on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM development stack.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (not limited to)
• Administering SQL Server for both 2008/2012/2014 and 2008R2/2012 R2/2014 R2
• Advising developers on the most efficient database designs (tables, data types, stored procedures, functions, indexing, etc.)
• Managing and monitoring SQL Server databases, reporting services, integration services and analysis services
• Writing and tuning SQL Server T-SQL queries
• SQL Server Database planning, scaling and capacity planning
• Designing tables and picking data types
• Using Profiler traces and other tools to identify potential bottlenecks and poor performing queries
• Applying Hotfixes and Security Patches for SQL Server
• Implementing disaster recovery strategy
• Performing SQL Server health checking and tuning performance using automation
• Creating technical documentation
• Troubleshooting SQL Server issues both independently and utilizing Microsoft Support services
