Description

Founded in 1951, Rueter's has been in the agricultural and construction equipment business for over seventy years guaranteeing total customer satisfaction before, during, and after the sale. This fast-growing company has 7 locations in the state of Iowa and Nebraska. With growth, we need people! We're looking for a Parts Counter Sales representative for our Council Bluffs location. Job Title: Parts Counter Sales 

Reports to: Parts Manager

Location: Council Bluffs

Job Summary:

Perform all functions related to the receiving, sales and delivery of parts in a professional and positive manner

Essential Duties:

1. Greet customers/answer parts calls with a positive attitude

2. Sell products and/or services to meet customer’s needs

3. Refer to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronically) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of equipment being serviced

4. Record sales, counter transactions, and parts payment collections; making sure all are billed out correctly

5. Properly invoice customers paying close attention to account, pricing, freight, etc.

6. Stay current on manufacturer/store parts and service programs in order to market and promote additional sales

7. Track all incoming and outgoing parts

8. Receive and stock inventory

9. Organize warehouse

10. Place stock orders

11. Create returns to the supplier for items not needed

12. Assist service technicians to assure they have the correct parts to complete the job

13. Assist service department with gathering /posting parts and invoicing

14. Check on back ordered parts for availability date and inform the service manager and technician

15. Maintain condition of showroom and inventory, making sure all displays are current, clean, free of clutter, and functional at all times.

16. General housekeeping as assigned

17. Respond to customer request in a timely manner (return phone calls, parts order updates, etc)

18. Participate in all job-related trainings and development set forth by the manufactures

19. Share ideas for improving parts department sales and service

20. Report all unresolved customer issues to the Parts Manager in a timely manner

21. Maintain professional appearance at all times wearing only Rueter’s approved apparel

22. Must have valid and current driver’s license to operate a company vehicle, or a personal vehicle with current auto insurance while on company business so that parts can be picked up or taken to customer sites

23. All other task assigned by the Parts Manager

Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates primarily in an indoor environment, but includes work in areas that are not climate controlled. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with some evening and weekends as necessary. Competitive Wage and Benefit Package including Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance and 401K match.

Travel: No overnight travel is expected for this position. There will be occasional local day travel.
