Job Description

A Material Handler contributes to rue21’s results by performing all tasks related to unloading, sorting, and loading cartons in the Distribution Center. A great teammate effectively communicates with their Peers and Leadership team and takes ownership of position responsibilities with critical attention to detail.

• Commits to supporting rue21’s vision, mission, and values of an inclusive environment and sets an example for their sphere of influence
• Accurately Unload, sort, stage, and load cartons in preparation for Shipping
• Operate manual/powered Equipment
• Ability to identify specific carton markings for sorting, staging, and loading purposes
• Ability to operate a hand-held device
• Maintain established productivity standards
• Keep work area clean and free of clutter to maintain a safe work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent
• Prior Warehouse and/or Distribution experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Engaging interpersonal skills that foster relationships with cross-functional partners
• Efficient organization, prioritization, and time management skills
• Ability to lift 50lbs- Continuous
