Job Title: Meat Cutter Whitefeather
Reports To: Production Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• Monitor and maintain the urschel slicers and make sure they are running properly. Maintain and sharpen blades too. Move the pork skins from the cutting room to cooking room for processing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily:
• Maintain, and perform daily checklists on machines
• Monitor the operations of the urschel slicers
• Move the pork skins from the cutters room to cooking room
• Must also sharpen blades and keep sharp blades on the urschel slicers at all times
• Clean and sanitize the floor, bins and autos according to the SOP

*And any other duties assigned by Supervisor

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TOO:

• Follow all LOTO procedures, including turning off the power to the machines before working on them
• Always use the locks when the lid is raised to change blades or during cleanup
• Use water hose to clean blades, do not use hands on blades
• Follow all Food Safety regulations
• Wear hearing protection in all areas of the plant
• Follow all common employee safety practices

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or General Education (GED).

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
