RUBBERCRAFT CORP OF CALIFORNIA LTD is Hiring a NPI Scheduler Near Long Beach, CA

IPS - Rubbercraft is seeking a NPI Production Scheduler who will be responsible for New Product Introduction manufacturing scheduling. Activities may include: preparing NPI production schedules for the department and for each technician, expediting and scheduling material and tooling deliveries, and providing status reports for NPI projects through engineering, supply chain, production, quality, and shipping.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Support the Mission, Vision and Values of the Company.
  • Drive positive customer experience and actively contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Participates in scheduling process and understand how the detail inch stone activities are been done.
  • Create cell / detail level of the production schedule for the tables/ cells/ presses.
  • Report and communicate to the NPI team, VSM and VPs of orders to ensure customer commitment dates are met.
  • Responsible for tracking between 100-150 individual jobs from start to finish; and accountable for communicating critical issues in a timely manner to the appropriate departments to meet customer expectations and ensure on-time delivery. Offer sound solutions to mitigate schedule and delivery performance risk.
  • Define and communicate capacity constraints and suggest solutions to overcome constraints.
  • Effectively interact with Planning, Engineering, quality, Purchasing and Project Management to ensure all materials, services, tooling and resources are allocated appropriately to support on-time delivery.
  • Determines detailed material requirements using bills of material, prints, customer specs as source data, and issues material orders to production to manufacture parts, based on customer requirements.
  • Periodically participate in New Product status meetings with the customer.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed

Job Specifications:

Education: High School or GED equivalent

Years Experience: 3-4 plus years working experience in a manufacturing environment (Aerospace preferred) in a materials or engineering role.

Skills:

  • Extensive experience in a high mix, low volume work environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • APICS certification/CPSM preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills; ability to effectively navigate through different levels of an organization
  • Thorough follow-through and attention to details
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ERP or MRP software; Great Plains and MS Project experience preferred
  • Works well under pressure and able to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Maintain working knowledge of company products and services

Training Requirements:

  • On the job training will be conducted on Procedures and Work Instructions from the area of responsibility.
  • Yearly refresher training on FOD, Calibration, Documentation control and Safety Topics.
