Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer specialized in RF/Microwave and Antenna (AESA) Testing. The candidate must be comfortable working with commercial off-the-shelf and custom test equipment to test hardware.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Tasks will include specification development, trade studies, hardware integration, and test and validation.
• This opportunity is for a versatile Antenna test engineer possessing a blend of theoretical analysis, practical application, and hands-on integration abilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and rf related issue sometimes down to the Antenna component levels.
• Ability to independently solve problems as well as work with the subsystem team.
• Travel is required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Physics, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years minimum experience in RF/Microwave and Antenna (AESA) Test and Integration
• Test Development Experience in a Nearfield Range
• Troubleshooting RF/Microwave Antenna (AESA) hardware, software and process issues down to the component levels
• Understand system issues associated with RF design such as noise figure, IP3, S-Parameters, Antenna Gain, Antenna Directivity, ERP, Side Lobe Levels (SLL), Oscillation, etc.
• Proficiency with common RF test equipment such as Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal & Pulse Generators, and Oscilloscopes
• Experienced at Antenna (AESA) hardware integration and validation efforts necessary for sell-off of advanced Airborne RADAR systems
• Able to present technical results to Program Leadership and work with Cross-Functional teams
• Active and transferrable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action Investigations
• Experience working in a DoD environment.
• Experience using MATLAB
• Knowledge in antenna calibration techniques
• A working understanding of architecture, design, and integration processes for Airborne Radar
• Test Development Experience in both Near and Far Field Ranges

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
