Job SummaryThe IT Asset Management (ITAM)Solutions Architectsrole is to workwith SHIs customers todesignITAMsolutionstoassistthem in understandingand managingtheir Software and Hardware Environment.The position will be customer facing to lead,influence,and guide SHIcustomersin their ITAM journeywith the aim to maximise the adoption of ITAM services by SHIcustomers.Additionally,the ITAMSolutions Architectwillinterface with the Product Management team in the development of ITAM servicesandtechnologyfor delivery to our customers andperiodicallysupportinternalprojectstoassist inbuildingthebrand awareness of the ITAM team and SHI andto impart industry experience and knowledge to help improve theoverallservices andtools used by the ITAM groupto ensure SHIdeliversa world class ITAM service.The ITAM Solutions Architect can be home office based or office based eitherfromAustin TX, Somerset NJ, Paris France,Milton KeynesUK,or Barnsley UKoffices.It is expected that this role will require frequent travel both nationally and internationally (maximum50%).The position reports to the Global Director-ITAM Services.ResponsibilitiesThe ITAMSolutions Architectwill:Have excellent ITAM knowledge and work as part of a team.Advocate SHI Services to SHI Account Executives and their customers.Engage Sales, Licensing, Customers, and Software Manufacturers to help customers collect, organize, and manage customers licensed software assets.Engage with other SHI departmentstocollaborate in the delivery of integrated services.Participate with specialist knowledge in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as well as confirming SOW requirements, as required by Solution Consultants.Identifyadditionalupsell opportunities within existing ITAM customers.Participate alongside with ITAM Solutions Consultants in pre-sales activities to advise customers and inform of ITAM by SHIs capabilities.Lead and DeliverITAMConsulting Servicesincluding leading AuditDefenseprojects.Collaborate with customers tosolicit, collect, and analyse information about customers ITAM environmentstoassess process maturity and makeappropriate recommendationsfor work practices.Provide consultation on key ITAM governance issues, ITAM operations, and toolselectionand implementation whereappropriate.Engage with the ITAM group management team in growing the ITAM group business.Build internalbusinessprocesses toimprove the ITAM groupoperational deliverystandards.Work with the ITAM technical and development teams in enhancing the current tools used by the group and help in investigating new tools whererequired.Design, define and complete large scale and complex ITAM Services to cost, timescale and quality following applicable standards and procedures.Prepare and present ITAM deliverables to customers.Communicateaccurateand relevant conclusions to customers across the entirelife cycleof a SAM/ITAMproject. Including producing and presenting analytical results and assuring projectsareclosed to the satisfaction of all parties.Assistin creating and updating internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Asappropriate,using your experience,work with the Service Delivery team tohelpand guideengagements such as auditdefenseor other customerdeliverables.Attend,supportand represent SHI at conferences and events.Regularly present at industry events, SHISummitsand WebinarsEnsure all ITAM projects are conducted professionally, ethically, and in a manner consistent with SHI standards.Keep up to date with industry trends and new ITAMservices requirements andsupport the leading and development of ITAM colleaguesby sharing andtraining asappropriate.Executesall ITAMSolutions Architecttasks according to the project plans of all assigned customer engagements.Adhereandwork to the internal process standards as defines and updated byITAMmanagement.Collect,manage,and disseminateITAM-related information from SHI, customers, and software manufacturers.Researchand understand differentpublishersproductuserights, license allowances, and contractual entitlements for software products and manufacturers.Participatein customer communications across the entirelife cycleof an ITAM project; this includes presenting intermediate andfinal resultsand assuring projects are conducted and closed to the satisfaction of all parties.Coordinate withProjectManagementteamtocommunicate project status and ensure project milestones are being met.Other activities, as defined by ITAM management to successfully deliver ITAM consulting activities to customers.Support,coach,and mentor ITAM Analysts,Consultants, SeniorConsultantsandPrincipal Consultants.Possess specialist working knowledge ofnumeroussoftware licensing models and metrics, covering a range of vendors, including a minimum of three Tier 1 software publishers: Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, SAP, Adobe, VMware, MicroFocus, RedHat, Autodesk.Experience of performing ITAM at a c-level, including engaging with customers senior management and directors.Demonstrableexperience in AuditDefenceactivities and strategiesHighly competent in understanding complex business environments,identifyingcustomers goals and issues and formulating ITAM strategies and solutions that need to be presented at the management level and above.Proven experience in designing and implementing ITAM programs, as well as leading and mentoring License Consultant teams performing on customer engagements.QualificationsCandidates shouldpossessaBachelors Degreeor equivalent preferred, as well as a minimum of 10years of experience within the IT Asset Management field.Required SkillsTheITAMSolutions Architectwill be expected to understand all aspects of the IT life-cycle from licensing topurchasingto deployment to decommissioning.Be experienced in three or more of the major vendors of either Wintel or Data Centre technology and hold some associated accreditations.TheSolutions Architectwill have a minimum of10years experiencein deliveringITAM solutions to global enterprisecustomersandwillhave considerable ITAM experience and be considered aknowledgeleader in the ITAM Industry.In addition, theITAMSolutions Architectmustdemonstrateexpert knowledgeand experiencewithall ITAM Services tools.SHI are seeking a well-rounded experienced ITAMSolutions Architectand therefore we welcome all other relevant skills and experience.Preferred**Skills:**Strong entrepreneurial spirit; a desire and willingness to do whatever it takes.Client-oriented, professional servicesmind-set.Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.Exceptional research skillsand the ability to manage details.Exceptional analytical skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.A second language (preferably French) will be an advantage.Exceptional organization and time management skills.Ability tothink outside the box.Ability to stay self-motivated and self-directed.Willingness to adapt to changing business and technical priorities.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance teamenvironment.Proven experience as aSolutions Architectin ITAM in a similar or same field.Ability to manage multiple projects.Ability to create high-quality documentation with precision.Willingness to travel as needed.Ability to work with deadlines.Meticulous attention to detail.Highly organized and methodical.Unique Requirementso It is expected that this role will require frequent travel both nationally and internationally (50%)Refer a friend to this job (https://careers-shi.icims.com/jobs/16906/itam-solutions-architect/job?mode=apply&apply=yes&in_iframe=1&hashed=-336032949)Need help finding the right job?We can recommend jobs specifically for you!Job LocationsUS-RemoteRequisition ID2024-16906Compensation StructureBase Plus BonusCategoryInside/Outside Sales#J-18808-Ljbffr
