Position Overview:
Industrial Engineers apply advanced problem-solving techniques and Lean Manufacturing principles to design, develop, and optimize production processes to maximize throughput, efficiency, and value. Industrial Engineers are involved in Process Mapping, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layout, Line Balancing, Simulation and Process Modeling, Labor Performance Analysis, and Project Management.
Responsibilities will focus primarily on discrete tasks supporting program value streams across Raytheon factories and critical suppliers:
Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.
Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory capacity, Manufacturing Technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.
Partner with project managers and factory support functions to improve modify the factory footprint and layout of factory equipment as needed.
Support program contract proposals, business case development for future investments, supplier assessments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. Preferred majors are: Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering.
5-7 years of applicable experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.
Qualifications We Value:

Working Environments:
This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities supporting specific programs across Raytheon factories and the supply chain and may require frequent travel.

Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or
systems in order to provide enhancements within job area. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years
prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a
minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
