Constructs, operates, or tends heating equipment such as heat-treating furnaces, Vacuum Furnaces, Saltbath and Ovens.

Compensation :

• $1,500 Sign on Bonus*

Primary Responsibilities :

• Safely operates and maintains assigned machine / equipment.
• Follows paperwork flow, QA, and Shop Floor policies and procedures.
• Operates furnaces using the Distributive Control System.
• Maintains required heat-treating records.
• Adheres to strict parts specifications.
• Learns and understands Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Evaluates product quality and performs minor adjustments to equipment to meet quality standards.
• Assists Shift Lead and Furnace Operator as needed.
• Escalate issues impacting the manufacturing process to immediate supervisor and / or Team Lead and incoming shift when necessary.
• Maintains cleanliness of shop.
• Performs brazing on difficult production and prototype piece parts.
• Properly uses shop / hand tools, and other equipment required to complete tasks.
• Maintains machine tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Performs process inspections and audits.
• Proficiently uses computers tools such as SAP.
• Complies with applicable elements of quality systems.
• Ensures attention to quality while meeting production schedules.
• Establishes and preserves documented welding procedures.
• Participates in continuous improvement and waste minimization efforts.
• Completes other assembly work as required.

Basic Qualifications :

Typically requires a HS diploma with 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience required.
