MSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic Chorus Teacherwith a strong background in performance-based learning and assessment to join its instructional staff at Bonny Eagle Middle School located in Standish, Maine. The successful candidate will create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom; to motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child; and to respond to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student procgress.
Applicants for this position must have degree(s) required in major area of study; Maine Department of Education certification in content area (#614 endorsement), and other legal credentials required to be "highly qualified" according to State and Federal guidelines; experience related to the instruction of students of similar age and in the subject area(s) to be assigned; demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues; and evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth.
This position will be filled when a successful candidate has been found. Salary and benefits are competitive and are based on the Agreement made between the MSAD 6 Board of Directors and the Saco Valley Teachers Association.
