OVERVIEW:
Construction Innovations is seeking a motivated student to gain meaningful work experience and apply the technical skills learned in the classroom to real-world business issues. Construction Innovations is committed to providing students with a meaningful experience that enhances their knowledge, skills, and abilities. The internship position offered is a summer-based, ten (10) week-long internship. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interns must fully participate in their learning process
• Interns are expected to arrive to work on time, attend meetings, participate in workplace activities, and produce quality work
• Interns are expected to follow all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Must have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Available to work 40 hours per week during summer break is required

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• General construction and/or electrical knowledge is preferred, but not required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Summer Intern spends their time in an office environment, but may occasionally spend time working in a warehouse environment. The office is an open and collaborative space where work is performed independently and with the team. When at the warehouse, work is performed in a more traditional warehouse environment, with higher noise levels and frequent movement of people and equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regularly sit, stand, and walk for long and short distances.
• Required to hear with or without correction to be able to interpret and receive information and directions.
• Regularly required to communicate: verbal and written, to describe and explain detailed, important, and accurate instructions.
• Occasionally lift and/or move material up to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Noise level is usually moderate.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports directly to the Department Manager / Director.

CAREER ADVANCEMENT:
Career advancement at Construction Innovations is possible with all positions but is not guaranteed. Advancement could be within the current department or to other departments within the company.

LOCATION:
Construction Innovations facilities and offices are located in Sacramento, CA, and Mather, CA.

COMPENSATION:

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $18.99 - $22.12. The actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
