OVERVIEW:
The Environment Health and Safety Specialist (EHSS) promotes a positive safety culture while complying with company safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment. This includes conducting trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits, and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to Management.
The EHSS will assist the Plant Manager and Safety Manager to inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in work areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards. Their chief goal is to protect the employees, customers and the environment. Supports Management’s efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate Safety Program expectations and applicable federal & state laws.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The EHSS spends most of their time either in an office environment or at a manufacturing facility but may also spend time visiting customer sites. The office is an open and collaborative space where work is performed both independently and with the team. When in a manufacturing facility, work is performed in a more traditional manufacturing environment, with higher noise levels and frequent movement of people and equipment. The customer sites vary and may be in fairly remote rural locations, with possible extreme weather conditions.

This position reports directly to the Environmental Health & Safety Manager.

Construction Innovations facilities and offices are located in Sacramento, CA and Mather, CA.
COMPENSATION:
Construction Innovations pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee’s knowledge, experience and skill level.
