Our ESG Practice

RSM Canada's Environment, Social, and Governance ("ESG") Advisory Services practice helps companies and organizations, both private and public sector, execute on their ESG strategic and operational mandates through utilizing an industry-focused, analytical, transparent, and data driven approach. We are often called on to assess, identify, strategize, and provide industry insights to enable companies to determine their ESG maturity, plan their next steps concerning ESG, and integrate ESG into their operational and strategic decision making. Our Services

RSM's ESG Advisory Services practice makes use of our ESG Rapid Assessment and ESG Due Diligence Assessment methodologies to carry out a variety of ESG related projects for clients across many industries such as banking, private equity, real estate, and energy. Some examples of the work we have done are:

  • Developed an ESG reporting framework for a US-based community bank, focusing on responsible investment and community building initiatives
  • Developed an ESG policy and reporting framework for a private equity owned, California-based dentistry company to improve their ESG maturity. The private equity firm initiated the engagement as they recognized the importance of ESG to their portfolio company as it related to their future initial public offering.
  • Provided ESG due diligence services to several private equity firms to determine red flag ESG risks associated with potential investments
