Driven by a strong understanding of RSM's strategy, the Communications, Marketing and Growth (CMG) strategy, and the tax strategy and growth objectives, the CMG leader for tax oversees the development and implementation of an enterprise market strategy to increase brand relevance and drive revenue growth for tax services. This strategy is inclusive of communications, marketing and sales, as well as appropriate research to inform go-to-market and client engagement strategies.Essential Duties
  • In partnership with Tax, CMG natural work team colleagues (sales, marketing, communications, editorial, client and market insights and digital experience and technology), and in collaboration with centers of excellence, oversee development and execution of the CMG strategy for tax services including:
    • Strategic plan development aligned with tax priorities and focused on leveraging the full power of CMG including marketing, communications, research and sales to drive practice growth.
    • Oversee program development and deployment across the tax team and in support of growth objectives for each tax service line.
    • Align with other CMG leaders, line of business (LOB), industry and markets to identify natural connections across priorities, develop joint go-to-market programs and advocate for tax program priorities to be embedded in other go-to-market efforts.
    • Provide a regular dashboard to evaluate program performance, assess the current state of the pipeline and develop ongoing enhancements strategies.
  • Bring the tax natural work team together to create a world class CMG organization:
    • Collaborate with marketing leadership to deliver programming that is aligned with revenue growth goals for tax, including driving program connections across the enterprise-other LOBs industry and markets.
    • Collaborate with sales leadership on program development to increase program effectiveness and drive growth, including transition of leads to pipeline development and sales teams; establish key performance metrics (KPIs), report results and work across the natural work team to optimize program performance.
    • Collaborate with communications to develop compelling internal and external communications aligned with the go-to-market and business growth strategies to ensure our professionals are engaged and ready to deliver.
  • Serve as an advisor to the tax leadership team, including:
    • Proactively share recommendations to improve current year CMG results.
    • Drive conversations about the evolving market, changing buyer behaviors and new CMG channels to keep the evolution of our CMG strategies and programs front and center.
    • Proactively identify joint growth opportunities across the firm and ideas for new tax growth.
  • As a member of the CMG leadership team, advocate for tax priorities and growth needs, as well as bring market, industry and buyer perspectives to the CMG team to support the ongoing development of our near- and long-term strategies.

Minimum QualificationsEDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • Master's degree (preferred)
EXPERIENCE
  • 10 years of leading marketing/growth/communications experience in B2B environment
  • Proven success developing, implementing and managing go-to-market and relationship development programs
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
  • Proven experience leading, managing and coaching a team of marketing, communications and/or sales professionals in a matrix environment (required)
  • Highly collaborative and able to work within and through a team to achieve stated goals
  • Ability to initiate and lead crucial conversations and influence strategies and decisions of stakeholders and colleagues
  • Consistently sought out for advice by leadership, business stakeholders and colleagues
  • Thorough understanding of various marketing channels and relevancy to achieve stated goals
  • Proven experience working in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Proven experience collaborating with sales to drive demand and growth
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent project management, critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in analytics, structured problem solving and toolsets to support

Compensation Range: $183,600 - $352,500 |
