Job Summary

The Data Analytics Manager is responsible for development and growth of analytics in finance. This role will work with the data analytics center of excellence to create, manage and implement advanced analytics as well as manage the processes and people responsible for accurate data collections, processing, modeling and analysis. The Data Analytics Manager will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating repeatable processes and be the liaison between the business and the data analytics center of excellence.

Essential Duties

  • Collaboration with the business may include but are not limited to:
    • Collaborate with functional experts and LOB leaders to identify analytical needs and solutions and implement data structure and reporting changes to support business decisions
    • Take accountability over the analysis - be able to answer questions and provide an easy to comprehend story about the data
  • Analytical duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions
  • Develop and implement quality controls and standards to ensure quality of the data
  • Develop and manage forecasting databases/tools and provide analysis to leaders on outcomes
  • Create and manage new processes for improvement and opportunities
  • Employee supervisory duties may include but are not limited to:
    • Provide effective leadership to teams through: providing work direction; interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training; communicating performance expectations & providing feedback on performance, recognition, and coaching; creating career growth opportunities and employee development plans
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics major (preferred)

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and MS SQL Server (preferred)
  • Business Intelligence skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team leader
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Solid understanding of developing data requirements
  • Ability to learn, implement and train others on BI systems
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years relevant experience
  • Previous experience with SQL (preferred)
  • Previous experience with a Business Intelligence (BI) tool
  • Previous experience analyzing data and predicting future outcomes

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

  • 3 years' experience managing staff (preferred)
  • Demonstrates success in influencing and engaging stakeholders, building collaborative relationships while managing conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrates ability to respond positively to changing circumstances, seek and implement change to drive business improvement, and serve as a model of change
  • Strong communication skills; Able to communicate effectively with people at all level of the firm
  • Able to motivate, inspire and develop individuals and teams to collaborate and deliver to their highest potential

Compensation Range: $102,200 - $189,200 |
