About the Role: A Risk Advisor is a professional who assists companies in improving their risk management practices, with a primary focus on safety risks. Their role focuses on transportation risk and involves identifying potential hazards, developing strategies to mitigate these risks, and implementing safety measures to protect employees, assets, and the organization's reputation. The professional works to help create safer work environments and cultures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, ultimately helping clients control loss and reduce the likelihood of accidents. The Risk Advisor will connect with and support Acrisure sales professionals, client service professionals, and risk advisors throughout each platform. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Risk Management Focused on Transportation: Review loss trends and compliance related issues for large commercial clients and develop annual risk management plans (FOCUS Planning). Analyze and classify client’s risks as to frequency and potential severity, advise client of financial impact of risk on company and make recommendations on tactics to mitigate such risk. Recommend utilization of specific, appropriate techniques and implementation of programs and policies to minimize loss, such as loss prevention and reduction, proactive claim management, and technology deployment. Write clear, focused action plans to help clients manage risk; establish systems to monitor progress. Work with Client Advisors during policy renewals to provide insight into risks and advise on budget planning and risk minimization programs. Work collaboratively with insurance carriers and other outside loss control companies to coordinate risk advisory service delivery. Perform clients safety program needs assessment in order to identify deficiencies and implement preventive & corrective actions. Review client regulatory compliance; make recommendations as appropriate. Training/Sales: Recommend specific training designed to improve trends for client utilizing analysis of individual client claim/loss data. Develop training material and train clients as necessary or as requested on specific topics related to workers' compensation, occupational health, safety, and resources for risk management, etc. Educate new client prospects about the benefits of Acrisure Risk Advisory Services. Conduct safety meetings and training programs for client employees. Relationships: Work with Sales Professionals and teams to support attainment of operational and revenue goals. Work as a team with other staff members to achieve production and agency goals. Develop positive working relationships with clients and company personnel. Keep informed regarding transportation industry information and marketplace changes to continuously improve knowledge and performance. Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by agency management. Read/Write/Speak English: Ability to perform verbal and written communications face-to-face and in-group meetings. Creativity: Job duties are widely diverse, and frequently require conceptualizing, planning, and implementing. Task Handling: Job duties are widely varied, and frequently require attention to and/or coordination of concurrent jobs. Must have a strong sense of motivation and ability to work independently. Sense of urgency and a drive to meet deadlines are required. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work extended hours and various work schedules. Strong attention to detail, good proofreading skills, excellent reliability, initiative and stress tolerance. Competent and proficient understanding of the Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Excel. Keep abreast of all applicable regulations and standards. Education: ·Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience in a related field preferred. ·5 years of related experience in the field of Transportation Safety and Loss Control. Transportation Safety Certification (such as NATMI) preferred. In-depth knowledge of federal transportation regulations.
