This position is located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide engineering expertise to build, test, and baseline threats.
Provide support and expertise to order materials, support test bed development, and schedule equipment calibrations.
Provide engineering expertise on a daily and weekly frequency for reading of CEXC intelligence reports on the SIPR that describe the use of RF and optical threats in theatre.
Provide lab engineering support for participating in the testing that takes place in the lab. Also support conducting critical analysis on the testing. Support testing in Yuma and other CONUS locations.
Provide RF technician support to modify, build, and test different equipment in the client lab. Build/test circuit boards, and project boxes for testing.
Provide engineering support in analysis of commercial RC devices, (e.g., determination of frequencies and transmitted powers in support of CREW). Analyze the theory of different frequency modulation Techniques Theater used to detonate IEDs by insurgent groups.
Provide recommendations for the management of the availability of resources in the anechoic chamber, as well as support the tests that occur in the anechoic chamber.
Provide support for the build of the new Next Gen Coaxial Test Bed3.
Attend all related testing events for PD EA support at either Yuma Proving Ground, AZ or China Lake, CA or any other government sponsored test facility.
Provide wireless technologies assessments during the development of EW system concepts.
Experienced in operating/maintaining complex systems/equipment.
Ability to identify and correct system/equipment problems.
Interprets manufactures reference and technical manuals.
Conducts preventive and corrective maintenance to system components.
Provides technical supervision and training to lower-level technicians.
Systems may include but are not limited to electronic systems/equipment electromagnetic radiation (RF) spectrum communications systems; HF/MF/LF/VLF transmit/ receive antennas and tower structures.

Requirements:

Minimum 8 years experience and/or AS/AA or 2yr Tech School; or HS/GED w/ 12 years or military experience E6 and up.
TS/SCI Clearance required
