This role is located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Employee will be responsible for the logistics element s (i.e., maintenance; fielding support; manpower and personnel; supply support; support and test equipment; training and training devices; technical data; computer resources support; and packaging handling, storage, transportation and facilities) for one or more acquisition programs.
  • Responsible for total, cradle to grave intensive logistics management, to support a complex, major weapon system from concept through field deployment. Performs the full range of planning, liaison, equipment and control of logistics phases of field exercises and tests.
  • Requires the ability integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management program. Implements PEO/DA/DOD policy and procedures of acquisition to provide support of the prog ram manager’s requirement to field fully supportable systems/equipment and meeting operational requirements for the soldier in the field.
  • Resolves complex logistics problems affecting numerous activities and units spread over large geographical areas.
  • Develops and initiates the implementation of corrective actions and program enhancements.
  • Support includes the management and interface with logistics managers, contractors, training facilities, ILS M organizations and other service users at contractor facilities and government activities.
  • Develops, interprets and/or applies a wide range of DOD, Army and PE O acquisition and logistics polices, directives and precedents. Responsible for the coordination, preparation, evaluation and review of ILS management and planning documents.
  • Monitors the status and quality of ILS development services and products. Evaluates progress in attaining ILS objectives.
  • Serves on ILS management teams.
  • Develops and recommends new logistics support concepts.
  • Evaluates, plans and develops and assures the implementation of corrective action and changes to reflect new requirements, technologies and safety concerns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • 8 years of direct experience with logistics
  • 5 years of experience with DoD 5000 acquisition lifecycle processes
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Excellent communications skills including the ability to generate focused technical documentation on complex topics
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and execute tasks on-quality and on-time
