RSC2 is Hiring a GIS Developer Near Arlington, VA
- Receive and respond to requests for GIS support by providing technical assistance to
users and helping in defining the practical aspects of GIS applications - Communicate clearly and concisely GIS subject matter information to non-GIS professionals.
- Perform GIS data management and advanced analysis
- Create and maintain maps and map series for multiple internal end-user groups
- Design, develop, test, and maintain GIS interactive websites
- B.S. in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Geography or related field: (Additional experience in lieu of a degree can be considered – (8) years of related experience equivalent to a BS/BA in Geographic Information Systems)
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in the GIS Field
- Programming experience with Python, ArcPy and JavaScript
- Knowledge of the general principles and techniques of Geographic Information Systems
(GIS) - Ability to prepare and analyze data in a wide variety of digital formats
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, and database software
- Experience providing data management services, advanced data analysis and high-end cartographic products in the form of one-off maps and map series utilizing ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro Desktop application.
- Experience publishing web services to ArcGIS Enterprise, and creating and maintaining web maps using web applications using ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcGIS Insights, ArcGIS Web AppBuilder and ArcGIS Experience Builder. (ArcGIS Enterprise 10.x platform)
- Mobile development experience
- Working knowledge/Experience setting up/maintaining and providing analysis output with ESRI’s ArcGIS GeoAnalytics Server and or ESRI’s ArcGIS GeoEvent Server
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS Monitor
- Experience developing web applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript
- Experience managing ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Server/Portal)
- Must be a US Citizen
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance
