We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing company! This position supports an U.S. Army PEO IEW&S Product Manager at Ft. Belvoir, VA. This position is a leading member of the organization and supports the RS3’s program and leadership. The Cybersecurity Engineer will provide Cybersecurity guidance and documentation throughout the system development life-cycle to include providing Cybersecurity guidance at meetings, briefings and design reviews and during system development IAW currently applicable regulations and policies.
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Review the design of hardware, operating systems, and software applications proposed for PEO IEW&S programs and provide comments as to whether the design adequately addresses security requirements and provides confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
  • Properly mitigate identified threats/vulnerabilities.
  • Review and provide comments on test and evaluation activities to validate those threats/vulnerabilities are mitigated.
  • Support compliance activities through the input, assess, and update security controls into the appropriate management systems of record (e.g., Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)).
  • Review and provide comments on Assessment and Authorization documentation needed for program initiatives to receive Authorization(s) To Operate (ATOs), ATOs with conditions, and Assess-Only ATOs.
  • Assist and when necessary, author Program of Actions and Milestones (POAMs) associated with the ATO process.
  • Perform security engineering, implementation, and validation, as well as facilitating requests for waivers or other exceptions to policies based on tactical implementation of security domain requirements.
  • Support development of Simplified Acquisition Management Plans (SAMPs).
Requirements: 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.  
  • US Citizen  
  • Must have either an Associates or a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or related fields.
  • Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
  • DoD 8570-01.M IAT Level III or IAM III Baseline and Compute Environment Certifications required. DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications – DoD Cyber Exchange
  • Acceptable certifications include: CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO
  • Experience with Army TENCAP
  • Experience with DoD Acquisition Systems Engineering / JCIDS
