Critical Job Functions: Collaborate with carrier partners to optimize price, costs, and service for network operations. Utilize various analytical tools to perform analysis on datasets with varying levels of complexity. Measure and monitor the results of various costing and strategy projects. Collaborate with IT, Finance, Operations, Pricing, and other internal departments to improve and maintain accurate costs within the costing system. Interpret, develop, and negotiate partner carrier pricing agreements. Utilize analytical strategies to negotiate routine rate adjustments for carrier partners. Model pricing scenarios to predict impact of changes on organizational performance. Represent the company on partner carrier conference calls and onsite visits. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering. Other Engineering degrees and majors with a strong analytical background, such as Business Data Analytics, will be considered. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, most notably in Microsoft Excel. Excellent presentation skills, and comfortable with extracting the “story” told by data. Experience in the Less Than Truckload (LTL) industry is highly preferred. Experience in commercially available costing systems, such as CIS, is a strong plus.
