Job Description Summary: Coordinate the Specialized Billing area along with DDC Central Billing to assure proper workflow and resource utilization. Act as liaison with terminal/field personnel and corporate staff to ensure excellent internal customer service. Critical Job Functions: Perform Specialized Rating duties. Process Missing Pro report on a daily basis. Assist the manager of Billing and Rating in managing the workflow in the Specialized Billing area, coordinating with DDC Central Billing. Prepare DDC reports daily. Send DDC errors daily. Maintain weekly error report with DDC. Work along with Billing and Rating manager to improve quality of our billing product. Monitor work levels and adjust staff duties based on current needs each day. Fill in on nights when staff has PTO or call ins. Maintain hazardous spreadsheet for Safety. Process and distribute requests and inquiries from terminals and corporate staff. Organize, train and direct staff in entering billing into the AS400 computer system. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Experience as Specialized Biller or Rater requires extensive knowledge of all Billing and Rating processes preferred. A High School degree and personal computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Requires the ability to work independently and make quick decisions based on knowledge and experience. The ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, coupled with excellent customer service skills are a necessity. Ability to read and interpret documents such as bill of lading, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, pricing contracts and tariffs. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Communicates internally with entire corporate office, externally with Roadrunner Dawes customers and RDFS terminals. Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Knowledge of AS/400, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proficient typing (ability to type 40 words per minute), filing and ten key skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments. Work Environment: The noise level is moderate based on general conversation tones, ringing phones and laser printer operation. Work in well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. Compensation: $17.00 to $18.00 per hour.
