The School of Population Health is seeking aFiscal Technician to join our team. The Fiscal Technician will provideoperational support to process financial transactions and reconciliations. As acritical member of the administrative team, we are looking for a part-timeFiscal Technician to begin as soon as possible.
This position is eligible forremote work.
Primary duties andresponsibilities:
Maintain a high-level knowledge in areas related to research finance, procurement, travel, reimbursements, Banner finance, and other appropriate fiscal areas
Using p-cards and purchase orders, complete purchases for faculty and staff including office supplies and research supplies.
Maintain transaction records
Ensure that expenditures are properly posted by reviewing and reconciling on a regular basis.
Research budget variances as necessary
Assist in the preparation of financial report and analyses.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
• A completed High School Diploma or GED isrequired.
• Working knowledge of federal and statefiscal policies and procedures.
• At least one year of prior experience usingfinancial recordkeeping and/or procurement software systems
• Must have a demonstrated commitment tofostering diversity and inclusion in past experiences or a commitment to do soas an employee at VCU
