The Position: The IT Support Specialist is responsible for assisting end-users with technical issues or questions relating to computer hardware devices, deploying and supporting end-user technology and software. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service and support to end-users and managing the flow, resolution, or possible escalation of service desk requests. This role requires the ability to interact with a wide variety of personality types, and exceptional good follow-up / follow-through skills. This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide fist point of contact and day-to-day technical support
  • Handle end-user technical support cases through multi-channel submissions
  • Deploy and support computer, network, printer, phone and other devices
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
  • Provide initial equipment and software orientation and guidance to new hires
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
  • As required, work closely with managed service provider supporting remote sites
  • Work IT projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field, required
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field, preferred
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledgeable in Windows 10/11, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365
  • Exceptional logical troubleshooting skills across the enterprise technology stack
  • Strong technical ability
  • Basic Active Directory management skill
  • A sense-of-urgency with internal motivation and capacity to work in a demanding, high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative team member with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Zendesk experience a plus
  • IT certifications a plus
