The position: RPM Living seeks a dynamic Director of Social Media to join our Corporate Marketing and Brand Strategy team. Reporting to the Vice President of Brand Strategy, this role is pivotal in crafting and executing comprehensive social media strategies to bolster RPM Living’s brand presence, engage audiences, and align with our strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media content strategy for RPM Living’s corporate brand, encompassing both organic and paid initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate brand strategy into integrated creative and social media content, aligning with broader marketing campaigns. 
  • Curate and manage a content calendar across social channels, ensuring consistency, relevance, and alignment with best practices. 
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning. 
  • Establish key performance metrics, track social media performance, and deliver actionable insights to optimize strategies. 
  • Champion innovation and experimentation, exploring new platforms, formats, and tactics to enhance engagement and drive results. 
  • Develop strategies for internal brand advocacy, empowering associates as brand ambassadors and amplifying our corporate narrative. 
  • Coordinate and liaise with marketing agency partners to leverage key opportunities for exposure (e.g. PR, Brand/Advertising) 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, integrating relevant insights into our social media approach.
  • Effectively communicate complex concepts and strategies to diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, PR, Communications, or related field. 
  • 7 years of progressive experience in developing and leading social media strategies for corporate accounts. 
  • Proven track record of managing organic and paid social media across diverse platforms, with a deep understanding of platform-specific best practices.
  • Ability to recommend and leverage social media analytics, creative testing and monitoring tools, with experience in leveraging data to inform strategy. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in fostering collaboration and driving results through others, while also diving in to execute first-hand 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, compelling messages. 
  • Experience in crisis management or risk mitigation within a social media context is helpful.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to create content that resonates with diverse audiences. 
  • Podcast distribution experience a plus
