Royal Speedway Inc is Hiring a Service Drive Supervisor Near Tucson, AZ

The Royal Automotive Group is seeking candidates for a Service Drive Supervisor position. The Drive Supervisor assists the Service Manager in running an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all service records. 

Responsibilities: 

  • The Service Drive Supervisor assists the Service Manager in the performance of the following duties:
  • Establishes a positively charged and motivated work environment with a can-do department goal.
  • Lead drive team, create and implement processes, ensure consistent process utilization and department growth.
  • Hire, new employee set ups and log ins, orientation, develops training plans and trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of service department staff to next level of performance.
  • Prepares and administers monthly and annual business strategy plans for continual customer satisfaction and growth.
  • Maintains reporting systems required by Service Manager and the factory.
  • Monitors and controls the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems, and surveys; informs employees of CSI standards and results.
  • Motivates staff to individually monitor CSI. Create process to educate, motivate and prevent negative CSI, educate writer on proper present survey in a manner that will ensure positive CSI.
  • Constantly monitor and maintain; Closed work order, Open work order, SDL screen utilization, and Axcessa updates as required, SOR process, phone training, Kia University, drive and MPI processes, and all other service drive related manners.
  • Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.
  • Monitor and maintain (Company Standards, minimum standards to be established monthly and monitored by management.)
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Accounts for all documents; ensures that none are missing and all are processed correctly.
  • Initials all repair orders before submitting them to the warranty department, monitoring for sales and hours relative to expectations.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
  • Ensures that customers' service files are up-to-date and readily available for reference.
  • Ensures that all customers are greeted promptly and given fair estimates on costs and time required for repairs and maintenance.
  • Prepares pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labor operations and educates staff on the benefits of selling preventative maintenance and other MPI noted items.
  • Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership's guidelines.
  • Attends manufacturer-sponsored training classes which may require travel and overnight stays.
  • Maintains safe work environment.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.

MARGINAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Forecasts goals and objectives for the department, strives to meet them and communicates them to employees.
  • Develops and implements a marketing plan which promotes new and repeat business.
  • Holds weekly department meetings. (As directed by Service Manager.)
  • Directs and schedules the activities of Service Drive employees.
  • Sends employees to appropriate training schools as needed and arranges on-site training on an ongoing basis.
  • Monitors and follows up on parts orders with the parts manager to ensure availability.
  • Informs repair technicians of time allowances on each repair order.
  • Ensures that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities.
  • Serves as liaison with factory representatives. 
  • Establishes and maintains 24-hour follow-up with all customers to confirm satisfaction with the service experience.
  • Creates and updates job descriptions and duties check sheets as necessary

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises employees in the Service Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
