Position Overview: As the Music and Choir Teacher at Royal Palm Academy, you will nurture a love for music and choir performance across all grades. Through engaging instruction and the integration of Catholic values, you will lead our students in developing their musical skills and appreciation for sacred music. This role is integral to our mission of educating the heart and forming the character of tomorrow's leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Embrace and uphold the mission, philosophy, and values of Royal Palm Academy.
• Deliver dynamic music and choir lessons that engage and inspire students across all grade levels.
• Organize and lead the school choir, coordinating performances for Mass and special school events.
• Integrate Catholic teachings and values into the music curriculum, particularly focusing on liturgical music.
• Manage classroom environments effectively across a diverse age range, from young children to young adolescents.
• Utilize technology to enhance musical learning and maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents and school staff, ensuring alignment and support for music education at Royal Palm Academy.
• Participate in professional development and continuously seek to improve teaching practices and musical offerings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
• Strong background in music, with a preference for those experienced in Catholic liturgical music.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing, ideally with experience in teaching or performing Catholic sacred music.
• Proficient with technology and familiar with student information systems.
• Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from Pre-K3 to 8th grade.
• Experience in directing choirs and organizing musical performances is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in teaching music across multiple grade levels.
• Ability to lead and coordinate school-wide music productions, such as an annual Christmas Pageant.
• Experience with traditional and contemporary sacred music, including the capability to teach sung Latin responses during Mass.
