Royal Health Group is Hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Control - Cotuit Near Mashpee, MA

Royal Health Group is looking for a motivated, passionate ADON/Infection Control Nurse to join their team at Royal Cotuit!


ABOUT THE COMPANY:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assures all necessary mandatory education related to fire safety, infection control, resident rights, hazard communication, safety issues, dementia training and policy and procedure are up to date

  • Schedules mandatory in-services on a rotating basis

  • Assists in developing, implementing and conducting relevant in-service training programs and staff-based competencies

  • Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff, following up on work results

  • Establishes a positive work environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families

  • Provides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests

  • Provides staff education & development for new hires and on-going competencies

  • Ensures complete and prompt reporting on incidents with follow up as necessary

  • Ensures that significant changes in residents' condition are communicated to the physician, family or responsible party

  • Assist with tracking & administration of staff and resident immunizations


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently licensed as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

  • Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred

  • Minimum 1-year LTC experience as Staff Development Coordinator

  • Experience with dementia/geriatric psychiatric background preferred

  • CPR certification

  • 1 or more years of experience in nurse leadership in a long-term care setting

  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations
