Building HVAC / FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Position summary: Our firm. is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician / HVAC Building Engineer. This position is a hands-on technician position responsible for performing work assignments, identifying needed work, preparing work areas, and conducting work to ensure the safety of occupants, continuity of business operations, and the cleanliness of all work areas. The work locations are varied and encompass the greater St. Louis Mo. area. We are looking for mobile and stationary candidates. The company desires an individual with a high degree of focus on customer service, exceptionaltechnical skill and an aptitude for facilities maintenance including electrical, mechanical, general building troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairs; along with executing preventive maintenance (PM) activities and limited oversight of subcontracted services as required. The preferred candidate will be a hands-on technician, self-starter, dependable, have demonstrated knowledge in conducting building inspections, maintenance, and repairs as well as ability to quickly learn client sites, buildings, and systems. Proficiency in English as a second language is a requirement. A company vehicle will be provided for mobile technicians. Experience and Skills required:

  • Requires minimum 5 yrs. related experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Customer interface (communications, problem solving, work prioritization & scheduling)
  • HVAC / CRAC Units – EPA Certified (PM, system monitoring, knowledge, and familiarization), air cooled water chiller knowledge a plus
  • Troubleshooting skills (diagnosing problems, taking meter readings, referring to manufacturer specifications equipment guides)
  • Electrical skills (changing and installing lights, electrical outlets, lights, minor electrical, and troubleshooting)
  • Familiarity with UPS / Emergency Generator and Fire / Life / Safety Systems
  • Plumbing, (minor restroom repair of toilets, sinks, and fixtures)
  • Building, (doors & hardware, furniture & hardware, bulletin boards, etc.)
  • Computer skills, (email, CMMS, work order & PM’s)
    Schedule: Full time; flexible Day shift, Monday through Saturday. Must be able to respond to on-call emergencies (rotating Schedule) .
    Salary:
    Based on experience, plus benefits.
