The Roxy Hotel in Tribeca is seeking Part Time, On-Call room attendants to join their team.

Job Overview:
Clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Guest Rooms, Guest and Service Corridors, Housekeeping Office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
• Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
• Responsible for cleaning rooms to standard.
• Service assigned guest rooms.
• Change bed linen daily from checkout rooms and by request only from occupied rooms.
• Vacuum carpeting and upholstered furniture.
• Clean and dust all furniture, i.e., picture frames, head boards, lamps, dressers, night stands, telephones, television, etc.
• Remove fingerprints and smudges from mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, etc...
• Thoroughly clean the bathroom area, including shower stall, sink, pedestal, floor, toilet, wall tiles, mirrors, etc....
• Immediately report all damaged or missing items from the guestrooms.
• Responsible for proper key control and that all keys are turned in daily.
• Immediately report all "lost and found" items.
• Report any unusual findings such as sleep-outs, no luggage, etc.
• Use cleaning chemicals in accordance with established safety standards.
• Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude toward guests, co-workers and supervisors.
• Follow established safety procedures.
• Clean inside armoire, behind dresser, night stand, and around bed frames with use of toy broom.
• Self inspection of guest rooms to standard.
