Roxbury Treatment Center is Hiring an Unit Coordinator Near Shippensburg, PA

The Unit Clerk oversees the clerical functions of the nursing unit necessary to provide patient care.

Job Duties and Responsbilities:

  • Organizes assigned activities in order to complete them in a timely fashion. Assists in organizing the unit and nurses’ stations. Helps direct patient flow, retrieves charts form the physician’s offices, tracks patient lab work and other documents; and monitors the admission lab turnaround.
  • Initiates chart forms for patient admissions, transfers, and discharges; assembles admission charts.
  • Maintains patients’ charts in appropriate organizational and sequential order.
  • Participates in therapeutic crisis intervention when needed with patients.
  • Observes and monitors the patients’ status and safety; delivers care according to standards consistent with multidisciplinary treatment and discharge plan, care directives, and expected outcomes.
  • Observes and maintains safety, comfort, and aesthetics of the unit milieu.
  • Works as a mental health technician as needed

Unit Coordinator Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year experience working with a psychiatric patient population and previous secretarial experience preferred.
