General Summary:

At The Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center, we owe our success to the efficiency of organizational processes. To help maintain and grow this standard, we're seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee daily activities. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven success in managing multiple departments for maximum productivity.

The Director of Operations for The Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center (RLTAC) has the overall responsibility for the facilities and management of the RLTAC in a manner that is consistent with the original mission of the Center, philosophy, and purposes of the College. The individual in this role will provide leadership, direction, and oversight for the general operations of the RLTAC, including all sports activities and programs, and administration in the absence of the Executive Director. This position will assist the Executive Director in the day-to day operations of all athletics and events facilities including setting up and tearing down all facilities for events and managing facility issues such as maintenance, custodial services, landscape, property control, etc. Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary. The hours for this position may vary based on the needs of the building and the scheduling of events. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Executive Director in the management of daily operations at the Reggie.
  • Develop, implement, and diligently monitor strategic plans in alignment with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Exercise oversight over the Event and Facility Operations of the RLTAC.
  • Effectively manage the RLTAC membership, implementing strategies for growth and development. Collaborate in the management of the operations budget.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous monitoring of building operations protocols and manuals.
  • Assist with managing the RLTAC operating budget, purchasing, negotiations and putting efficient workflows in place to maximize a company's productivity and performance.
  • Draw on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
  • Grow Relationships with external partners, such as sponsors, donors, and community organizations, to secure funding and resources to support the RLTAC programs and services.
  • Participates in the hiring and training of departmental managers.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
  • Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to the executive director for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
  • Fulfill any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five plus (5 ) years of administrative experience in a highly active athletic environment
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate within a team environment.
  • Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands.
  • Adhere to the company's policies and standards and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within a diverse workforce and community populations

Preferred

  • Master's Degree
  • Bilingual skills a plus
Additional Information:


Salary Range:
$110-000- $115,000.00 annually, actually salary commensurate with experience.

Location: Roxbury campus with travel to off-campus events as needed

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, schedule to be determined upon hire, flexible schedule required, including nights and weekends. this position will be eligible for a maximum of two days of telework in accordance with the College's telework policy.
