Rover.com is Hiring a Senior UX Product Designer Near Seattle, WA

Who we are:
Want to make an impact? Join our pack and come work (and play!) with us.
We believe everyone deserves the unconditional love of a pet—and at Rover, our mission is to make it easier to experience that love. Founded in 2011, the Rover app and website connect dog and cat parents with loving pet sitters and dog walkers in neighborhoods across the US, Canada, and Europe. We empower our community of trusted pet sitters and dog walkers to run their own pet care businesses on Rover with the tools and security of a global company to back them.
Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, we work closely with our teams in Barcelona, London, San Antonio, Spokane and remote locations. We’ve got a reputation for being a great place to work, having been named among the 100 Best Companies to Work For in Seattle Business Magazine and Washington’s Best Workplaces in the Puget Sound Business Journal. We're an agile, fast-growing company, and our leadership comes from some of the world's most respected tech companies.
At Rover, our furry coworkers are just as important as our human ones—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Along with making the joys of pet parenthood more accessible, we’re committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming community of pet people—and that starts with our employees.

  • Drive human-centered design decisions mixing behavioral/psychological thinking with data and user research
  • Every day, proactively bring empathy and the voice of our users / user insights to the teammates with whom you work
  • Own the projects you’ll work on, and actively seek and action feedback from peers and customers to improve the experience for our community of owners and sitters
  • Lead and influence our design process together with our design managers and keep improving the way we achieve top-quality results
  • Work closely with your design peers to establish and expand on our design system
  • Participate in shaping the long term vision and experience of the platform in a fun, dedicated design team
  • Leverage your own experiences to mentor teammates to help constantly grow the overall design team
  • Define customer experience success metrics for the projects in which you own

  • Very comfortable bringing together stakeholders with varied perspectives to align goals and explore solutions effectively
  • Proven expertise and excitement about collaborating effectively with other creative individuals with strong critical thinking skills
  • Experience working through data-informed design. You are comfortable informing your work through business, product and UX metrics
  • Curiosity about UX Research methodologies and comfortable partnering with our growing UX Research team
  • An eye for lean design processes
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Ease and skills in interacting with stakeholders, managing expectations and accepting constructive criticism of your work
  • Production of polished and professionally finished work
  • Bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction, user experience or related design field or equivalent related professional experience
  • A willingness to identify opportunities and bring solutions to the teams in which you work
