About Roundup Fellowship Inc

Roundup Fellowship is a Colorado nonprofit organization serving people with special since 1973. Recognizing that people with developmental disabilities lead more productive and rewarding lives when they have the opportunity to live in traditional homes and neighborhoods, we were one of the first agencies in Colorado to offer group living environments a crucial alternative to institutional facilities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Through the development of personal self-sufficiency, our clients reap the rewards of daily living, working and interacting as active members of th...e community. We operate four intensively-staffed teaching homes, a school/day-treatment program for children, a community participation program for adults, a transitional program for individuals aging out of publicly funded programming, supported-living apartments, and supported employment and job development services. We see those within our care as having the same basic needs and feelings that all people have. Our programs combine love and understanding with a professional approach to caring and teaching. By concerning ourselves with the needs of the whole person, we encourage each person to grow physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. In working with the special population we serve, we take great care to treat each person in a highly individualized manner. From room furnishings to dress, to vocational options, we respect each persons individual preferences, personality and learning style. Roundup holds high the value of engaging people with disabilities to be involved in the affairs of community. Activities such as spectator events, shopping using public transportation and working at regular jobs can and should be an integral part of the lifestyle of persons with developmental disabilities. By providing programs that are individualized, community based, and goal directed, Roundup supports people to fully participate in the world around them. More
