Position: Sanitation Lead

General Description

The goal of sanitation is to create a safe and hygienic work environment for food production. Employee must be able to follow directions as well as follow provided company policies and procedures.

Job Duties

• Direct and coordinate all daily sanitation activities according to Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Lead, motivate and develop sanitation personnel to achieve outstanding manufacturing and sanitation results.
• Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected for cleanliness while following lock-out/tag-out procedures and wearing proper personal protection equipment.
• Train sanitation personnel in best practices, safety, and the proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Responsible for completing and maintaining the daily sanitation records.
• Responsible for reporting weekly chemicals inventory.
• Ensure employees are following safety guidelines and PPE practice while handling chemicals.
• Report equipment that is damaged, shows wear, or needs replacement to Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Requirements

• Able to work in hot, cold, wet, and/or loud environments
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to lift, bend, twist, push, and pull materials.
• Able to perform repetitive motions.

• Employees will be furnished with work boots, smocks, gloves, outerwear and other PPE as needed based on job duties
