Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and possess excellent organizational and leadership skills. As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Duties:
- Tasks include managing and supervising roadway/bridge construction projects for State agencies
- Develop project plans, including scope, budget, and timeline
- Collaborate with inspectors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure project goals are achieved
- Manage project budgets and track expenses
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is being performed according to plans and specifications
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns or issues that may arise
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, and safety standards
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, procedures, and best practices
-Experience with the Connecticut Department of Transportation a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership abilities
