Part Time, Van Driver!
At Rotary Senior Living, we are dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to our residents. We understand the importance of maintaining their quality of life, which includes ensuring they have access to transportation services. We are currently seeking a reliable and caring individual to join our team as a Van Driver for our nursing home.
As a Van Driver, you will play a crucial role in our residents' daily lives by providing safe and comfortable transportation to medical appointments, outings, and other activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents during transit, while also adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and outings.
- Assist residents with boarding and disembarking the van, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the van.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and family members to coordinate transportation schedules and address any concerns or special needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures regarding transportation services.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in transportation or a similar role preferred.
- Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with elderly residents and their families.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to assist residents with boarding and disembarking the van, including lifting and maneuvering wheelchairs or other mobility aids as needed.
