Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Molding Supervisor, the Press Setter is responsible for removal and installation of molds in the molding machine. Upon installation of a mold, the Press Setter is responsible for executing the startup procedures for the molding machine before turning the operation over to the operator.

Duties:

• Performing mold/die changes as scheduled in 55-450 ton presses

• Must operate forklift to transport molds

• Knowledge of injection molding hydraulics and pneumatics

• Responsible for making sure machines are locked out prior to the mold change

• Perform visual inspections on molds

• Communicate effectively with other Die Setters to ensure safety of all

• Responsible to follow all required Safety Procedures

• Performing mold maintenance and checks

• Meet performance goals for timely mold changes and setup (SMED)

• Performing or assisting molding process start-up

• Responsible for the workplace organization

• Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted ensuring mold setting processes are followed

• Participate in Manufacturing Kaizen Projects

• Adhere to all company policies and procedure

Requirements:

• Understand computer applications such as MS Office and utilize applications to do analysis and problem solving

• Ability to analyze problems and create solutions

• Demonstrate and enthusiastic and professional demeanor

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education and work experience

• 3 years advance knowledge of molding machines and its controls

• Inventory experience and manufacturing experience a plus

• Forklift Certification preferred

• Working knowledge of MS Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
