Job description
Summary:
Support the strategic direction of the organization. Demonstrate integrity, fairness, quality and customer service in the performance of one’s functions and responsibilities to ensure that the company goals are achieved. The Metal Building Assembler erects and constructs pre-engineered steel buildings as directed by the Foreman.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
1. Organize, communicate and perform responsibilities to ensure the successful operation of the team.
2. Erect frame of building with assistance and/or direct supervision.
3. Bolt steel frame members together with assistance and/or direct supervision.
4. Attach insulating materials and sheet metal to framework with assistance and/or direct supervision.
5. Ability to work at various heights.
6. Frequent local travel with in a 60-mile radius.
7. Complete all operational and administrative responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner.
8. Adhere to company policies, procedures and safety regulations.
9. Support other department personnel as needed.
10. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition and report any problems.
11. Use all required safety equipment and PPE.
12. Report to appropriate individuals any unsafe acts, conditions or concerns.
13. Exercise sound judgment and make decisions consistent to job functions, strategies, mission, vision, values.
14. Serve as a role model for company values with consistent demonstration of behaviors meeting or exceeding the company’s code of conduct.
15. Provide support to other department personnel as needed.
16. Follow, communicate and enforce company policies, procedures and safety regulations.
17. Demonstrates sensitivity, understanding and respect for the diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of current and prospective employees, clients and vendors.
Education
o Basic verbal and written communication skills.
o Basic knowledge of construction industry and practices.
o Basic knowledge of mathematical principles and applications.
Technical Training
o Ability to operate construction equipment and tools.
o Ability to sort, check, count and verify numbers.'
