We are currently seeking a caring, knowledgeable, and reliable Registered Nurse. As a Registered Nurse, you are responsible for the overall operation and optimal quality of care for the residents on the assigned unit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contacts the resident's physician and family to notify them of a change in the resident's condition or accident/incident; also notifies the supervisor covering.
• Assumes all responsibilities of the RN Supervisor in his/her absence or as directed by the DNS/ADNS.
• Assumes independent responsibility for completing the required routine documentation and auditing as required.
• Must have strong communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate the team.
• Comply with all state requirements and facility policies, procedures and standards of conduct.
• Have the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to the individualized needs.
• Guides the staff and ensures tasks are being completed.
• Monitors and reports changes in residents’ symptoms and behavior.
• Communicates and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and or physicians.
• Reports to the Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to handle stress

Required:

• New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Associates Degree/BSN Preferred
• COVID Vaccination
• SigmaCare Experience is preferred
