Title: BIM Technician

Location: Indianapolis, IN

We are searching for BIM Technician who has experience within electrical and/or mechanical engineering for our Indianapolis office. 

Responsibilities

• Work under direction of a design professional and BIM Manager
• Develop drawing files from design plans and details for use by engineering group
• Produce drawings from engineer's designs
• Ensure engineering drawings are accurately reflected
• Coordinate drawing production in line with project requirements and in conjunction with other disciplines
• Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines' designs to ensure a constructible, clash-free design
• Adhere to BIM execution plan and BIM project workflow criteria
• Follow BIM content standards and development procedures
• Review project files for adherence to Company/Project Standards and protocols
• Able to meet tight deadlines and able to work alone or with a local or remote team
• Print drawing sets and participate in project reviews
• Ability to export and other formats for collaboration internally and externally

Qualifications

• Associated degree from accredited program
• Strong experience in producing drawings for building system designs using REVIT and AutoCAD
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily task
• Track record of being dependable, self-motivated, and having a desire to learn
• Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Preferred experience should be in healthcare, higher education or government markets
• Desire to continue career advancement into a Designer Role within the R&B Organization
