Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. We are willing to train, so no experience is required. Candidates must have the ability to complete legal administrative tasks, understand and use document management systems, and conduct legal research. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex marital and family law matters.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and correspondence
- Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems
- Review and summarize documents for attorney review
- Perform proofreading and editing of legal documents
- Coordinate interviews with clients and witnesses
- Support attorneys during trial preparation
- Manage attorneys calendar, schedule appointments, and court hearings
Required Skills:
- Strong time management skills and work ethic
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and email communications
- Ability to conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw
- Ability to interact with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, court clerks, and judicial assistants.
