Position Description and Purpose:
Roskam Foods produces and packages food products with the goal of consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations for quality, safety and wholesomeness. The Sanitation Supervisor works closely with Production and Quality supervision as well as Quality Technicians & Production Foreman to provide cleaning and sanitation process leadership and ensure effective implementation of key cleaning and sanitation programs and practice on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
· Effectively complete tasks assigned & supervise the completion of sanitation subordinate tasking.
· Supervise sanitation teams and engage in cleaning & sanitizing events
· Assist in the development of cleaning crews and sanitation staff members through On-The-Job training.
· Ensure the proper verification of Cleaning & Sanitization events through physical inspection, proper completion of documentation & conducting of ATP swabbing.
· Assist in the completion of all Cleaning Validations & Sanitation Validations
· Deliver Increase Cleaning and Sanitation Efficiency
· Supervise, Train & Motivate cleaning crews to maintain standards and achieve efficiency
· Create & Complete cleaning and sanitation work orders
· Maintain cleaning and sanitation tracking/visibility boards
· Attend pre-clean meetings
· Maintain 5S concept (sort, straighten, systematic cleaning, standardizing, sustain)
· Work to efficiently and effectively close out internal & external audit findings
· Participate in & Oversee Pest Control activities
· Read & Understand Master Sanitation Schedule
· Evaluate SSOP accuracy and completeness
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
Required:
· Demonstrated people and team leadership skills (2 years of supervisory experience)
· Working knowledge of sanitation practices and programs (2 years of food industry sanitation systems management)
· Demonstrated leadership of sanitation programs and continuous improvement
· Understanding of allergen and microbiological control practices and GMP compliance
· Strong interpersonal skills to include team building and oral communication
· Strong project management and planning skills
· Documentation Skills
Preferred:
· Demonstrated SQF implementation skills
· Strong regulatory awareness in the food sector and sanitation
· Pest Control Operator license
