    Roseville Area Schools is in search of the next Principal of Roseville Area Middle School. RAMS serves over 850 students. This is a full-time 12 month position working 8 hours per day, 5 days per week starting July 1, 2024.
    Roseville Area Middle School is looking for an Instructional Leader who exhibits the following qualities and experiences:
    • Skilled in building a strong, positive school culture with a clear commitment to equity and high expectations.
    • Proactively resolves conflicts by being aware of them early on and using a variety of conflict-resolution strategies.
    • Experience working in an urban middle school setting with proven management and team-building skills.
    • AVID experience
    Minimum Qualifications for this Position Include:
    • A K–12 Principal License issued by the State of Minnesota, Department of Education.
    • Three or more years of successful administrative experience
    • Five or more years of experience in education.
    Skills and Abilities Required:
    • Experience working in an urban school setting, with proven management and team building skills
    • Strong record of helping students achieve and sustain academic success, especially with students of color.
    • Commitment to the belief that all students can learn and to the mission of educational equity.

    • Serves as the instructional leader of the building staff and will articulate a clear and compelling vision founded in strong and sustainable student achievement outcomes.
    • Manages personnel effectively through appropriate delegation, planning and evaluation. Fosters an environment where staff and faculty work cooperatively together and hold each other accountable to reach high levels of student achievement.
    • Effectively evaluates teachers' classroom management, instructional practice, professional development pursuits, interpersonal and leadership skills, while identifying high- and low-effectiveness performers, and provide clear and actionable feedback, resources and support.
    • Leads the improvement of student achievement by implementing the Charlotte Danielson Model for teacher observation and evaluation with high levels of fidelity.
    • Provides ongoing professional development for staff, around Inclusive/Absent Narratives curricula based on building data, best practices and instructional research.
    • Has an understanding of Professional Learning Communities.
    • Models and promotes the continuous use of data to inform practice and drive decision-making and instruction.
    • Observes teaching methods and examines learning materials to evaluate and standardize curricula and teaching techniques, and to determine areas where improvement is needed.
    • Manages school resources (fiscal, human capital, facilities, and equipment, etc.) to support student achievement goals and in compliance with district policies.
    • Fosters a positive school climate by assessing, planning, and communicating with the school community, promoting distributive leadership while demonstrating understanding of and respect and appreciation for cultural diversity.
    • Promotes a positive tone for collaborative school/community relations by articulating the mission, seeking community support, and fostering rapport with all stakeholders.
    • Confers with parents and staff to discuss educational activities, policies, and student behavioral or learning problems.
