Rosemurgy Properties is Hiring a Real Estate Development Assistant Near Boca Raton, FL

Position Summary:

The Development Assistant, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Project Development, will play a crucial role in coordinating and assisting on development projects. Qualified candidates will have experience in construction and an understanding of tenant coordination. Prior knowledge of lease terminology is beneficial. The successful candidate will be flexible and adaptable, while working collaboratively across all company teams. The Development Assistant should be well organized as there are many defined commitments that must be followed. The ideal candidate is a multi-tasker with a can-do attitude, positive disposition, and professional demeanor.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization):

Job Functions:

Development and Construction Projects

  • Manage and prepare documents for development / construction projects
  • Distribute development and construction application forms to appropriate parties
  • Schedule meetings and publish meeting agendas, support documents and meeting minutes
  • Create and revise Bluebeam plans as requested
  • Pickup and / or deliver documents checks as needed
  • Assemble project reports weekly
  • Create PowerPoint presentations for proposed furniture and fixtures
  • Prepare development schedules and timelines
  • Track permit submittals along with managing permit comment responses and re-submittals
  • Contact utility providers to create accounts
  • Manage payments of online billing

Tenant Coordination for Retail Development Projects

  • Manage tenant documents and schedules
  • Track tenant delivery dates and maintain tenant related schedules
  • Track all construction related tenant and landlord obligations; notify tenant and internal team of obligations and timing
  • Draft tenant correspondence relating to construction, delivery, and other obligations in accordance with lease
  • Coordinate / request required tenant information, such as insurance, notice of commencements, permit applications, permits, certificate of occupancy, and all closeout documentation per dates as required by the lease
  • Maintain various project and tenant signage approvals and requirements
  • Prepare lease exhibits
  • Coordinate the transfer of utilities
