We are looking for a “Floor” Jeweler – a self-motivated team member who would love to help our guests celebrate their most special occasions with spectacular fine jewelry.

The desired candidate will have a sincere desire to lead a team that will serve our guests at the highest level and provide them with an unforgettably positive experience. There is potential opportunities for growth into all areas of our enterprise abound, such as Guest Service (sales), management, marketing, bookkeeping, buying, and even gold smithing.

Be an integral part of a locally owned & operated enterprise – not some national nor regional chain. You’ll be able to assist our guests designing a one-of-a-kind custom artistic jewelry creation, or choosing from among a dazzling array of stunningly beautiful pieces from well known designers and manufacturers.

The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate all the “moving pieces” that need to come together to deliver an unforgettably pleasant experience and fabulous jewelry to our guests.

- Jewelry experience is a big plus but not required

- Retail/Customer service experience also preferred

- Will train a person with the right attitude and aptitudes

- Be detail oriented, results driven, and have a problem-solving mind set

- Take ownership of specifically assigned duties and take pride in executing them with minimum supervision

- Cheerfully pitch in elsewhere as the need arises (“have your teammates’ backs”)

- Help to promote our business enthusiastically, in the broader community

Current work hours: 8:30AM – 5:30PM Monday-Friday, Saturday 9:30AM – 4PM. You must be able to work weekends and it’s “All hands on deck” between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

IMMEDIATE RESPONSIBILITIES

* Greet customers, diagnose needs, offer solutions, close sales

* Open and Close store, set up displays

* Coordinate among and assist other team members

* Answer phones, call and email customers (Clientelling)

* Balance cash drawer, credit card receipts and daily sales

* Receive and send mail deliveries and packages

* Scan, process, and file incoming mail and deliveries

* Use Point of Service software to check out customers, track invoices, jobs, and inventory

* Post to social media sites/manage social media promotional campaigns

* Light cleaning (e.g., display cases, floors, vacuum rugs, empty wastebaskets, maintain restrooms, break area, etc.)

* Light maintenance (e.g., change light bulbs, printer ink, paper, etc.)

* Maintain a neat and efficient work area

* Monitor and give both positive and corrective feedback to other Associates in an inspiring manner

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

* Strong desire to help customers have a great experience

* Customer service experience/jewelry industry experience is highly desirable

* Professional appearance and demeanor at all times

* Timeliness, reliability, and maturity are absolutely necessary

* Trustworthiness and a commitment to our vision values

* Organization, coordination, and supervisory skills

* Comfortable working with computers and tablets as well as paper

* Proficiency with social media

* Proficiency with Word processors, spreadsheets, and publishers is required

* Minimum three years full time work experience

* High school or GED absolutely required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree helpful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
