Position Summary:

The landscape crew member is responsible for general landscape duties. The goal is to maintain the beautification of the gardens throughout Historic Roscoe Village.

This position requires long periods of walking, bending, standing, and kneeling, etc. Crew members must have the capability to work in various outside conditions for extended periods of time and be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Follows all safety procedures and policies assigned by Landscape Supervisor and Human Resources.
• Mows and trims lawns, trims shrubs, and cultivates flower beds.
• Performs pruning, weeding, and deadheading the Village’s gardens and potted plants.
• Hauls and spreads topsoil and mulch.
• Waters lawns, trees, and plants.
• Performs clean-up duties as required.
• Assist with fall cleanup and leaf removal.
• Works with dried material and flowers to create arrangements.
• Helps decorate Historic Roscoe Village for holidays.

• Valid Driver’s license is required.
• Basic knowledge and skills of garden tools and power equipment. (preferred)
• Able to understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Have an understanding of plants, trees, and grasses used in landscape. (preferred)
• Team player and good work ethic.
• Meet schedule requirements and arrive to work on time.
• 18 years of age or older

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $10.45 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
